Experts Say to Get Ready for 2009
At a recent gathering of the nation's most successful real estate broker-owners, the message delivered by the experts was clear: Get ready for 2009.
Each year, REAL Trends Inc., a leading provider of strategy and trends information in the residential realty services business, sponsors a two-day conference attended by the 500 most successful broker-owners in the United States. Among the dignitaries present at this year's conference, held May 8-9 in Denver, was Bruce Zipf, president and CEO of NRT & Mark Willis, CEO of Keller Williams International...just to name a few.
The common them, shared by almost every presenter, can be summarized thusly: The current downturn in the real estate market will end during 2009, but that is only good news for "you" if you are prepared. Many consumers have delayed the purchase or sale of their homes, waiting for stability in the marketplace, this will create a strong demand in the real estate market by the middle of next year.
The speakers went on to say that "only those brokers who have prepared for the demands of a new generation of younger customers will benefit from this opportunity". And the primary factor influencing the behaviors of these customers? It is, of course, the Internet.
