Fontana
In the extreme western corner of North Carolina is Fontana, home to 480-foot-high Fontana Dam and Fontana Lake. Fontana Dam is the highest dam in the Eastern United State, and fourth highest dam in the country! At Fontana Lake you'll enjoy boating, fishing and other recreational opportunities, and more than 240 miles of shoreline.
